Founded in 1929, HCC was the second cement producer to enter the Egyptian market.
Helwan Factory
Helwan Cement Factory was established in 1929 and is located 30 km south of Cairo on an area of 1,000,000 square meters with 10 production lines (8 in operation).
The factory currently produces the following types of cement:
CEMI 42.5 R (in accordance with EN 197-1 / 2011 and ES 4756-1 / 2013)
Oasis CEMII B-L 32.5N (in accordance with EN 197-1 / 2011 and ES 4756-1 / 2013)
Helwan plant currently has 2 dry and 6 wet lines (2 in operation) for gray cement. The dry lines were launched in 1985 and 1987. Each line was initially designed to produce a maximum of 4,200 tons of cement per day but was later upgraded to produce 5,500 tons. The plant has also transformed its operations to reduce dust emissions during the manufacturing process.
Egypt: Helwan Cement ordered vertical cylindrical grinder from Gebr. Fiverr to grind coal at one of its cement factories in Egypt. The delivery of the coal mill is scheduled for the end of 2016. The order has been submitted by Beijing Triumph International Engineering.
The MPS 3350 BK type coal mill will have the power of 1050kW combined gearbox. It is designed to grind 80 tons of charcoal until product purity reaches 12% residue at 90 μm and 60 tons / hour of coke to product purity of 6% residue at 90 μm. Algebra. Pfeiffer staff will also oversee erection and commissioning. The general goal of Tora Cement Company is to continue its investments and develop its activities in Egypt by preserving its Egyptian identity and raising the efficiency of its facilities by transforming its activity from a mere cement producing company to a company that provides the market with all the services needed by the construction industry.
